SmarterGerman is a set of popular online German courses aimed to help you achieve A1 - C2 levels in German.

The course was created by German instructor Michael Schmitz and contains 54 lectures with about 6 to 8 segments per lecture.

There are a total of 5 different courses SmarterGerman offers that cater to most learners.

    These include:

    • Beginner’s German Course A1
    • Elementary German Courses A2
    • Intermediate German Courses B1
    • Upper-Intermediate German Courses B2
    • C1 Advanced German Course

All of these courses are now included as part of the Magnificent German Courses Bundle.

Michael’s teaching strategy is designed to present a holistic approach to picking up German.

To make it engaging and more easy-to-understand, most instructions are delivered by video along with some brief written notes. Each lecture contains three main types of exercises - writing, listening, and general information about how to learn the German language efficiently.

After taking the SmarterGerman course, you’ll understand German grammar properly and feel comfortable talking to your German friends.

What’s good about SmarterGerman is that you get the convenience of a tutor for a fraction of the cost. Michael Schmitz originally developed these courses for private clients but modern technology has given him the opportunity to share his experience and learning methods with you wherever you might be in the world.

You’re able to complete SmarterGerman at your own pace.

SmarterGerman offers a “try before you buy” option so you can try the courses before you commit to paying for it (bear in mind that they now offer flexible “pay what you can afford” pricing which has made SmarterGerman very affordable for most people).

Of course, there are alternatives as well which you can find on the German resources page.
